Bruce Woods

Chef Bruce Woods studied culinary arts at George Brown College in Toronto. His industry experience includes 2 years in some of the finest restaurants in Italy.  He spent another year as Sous-Chef at a one star Michelin hotel in Scotland.  He apprenticed at Centro Restaurant in the early 90's under Marc Thuet.  At the age of 25, Bruce took on his first executive chef position at Il Posto Nuovo in the Yorkville area of Toronto.  After favorable reviews, he was lured to British Columbia where he was corporate chef of Umberto Menghi's restaurant group.  There, Bruce was responsible for three Vancouver restaurants and two in Whistler. After 3 years with Umberto Menghi, chef Woods was approached by Centro Restaurant to replace Marc Thuet as Executive chef.  Bruce took over as Executive Chef 5 years ago and shortly after, along with long time General Manager, Armando Mano, became an operating partner.
