Patrick Zappia
Patrick Zappia is a proud chef and the son of Pasquale Zappia, an artisan baker from Southern Italy. At the age of 12, Patrick began working alongside his father in the family bakery learning the art of baking breads and pastries. His father instilled in him pride and passion for producing quality food.
Patrick would begin a kitchen apprenticeship at Centro and later at the Four Seasons Hotel. His passion for cooking took him to Italy where he trained and learned the importance of quality ingredients; combined with simplicity and passion; would produce great food. He came back to Toronto and stood as the head chef at his family's restaurant for 10 years, Via Oliveto. In 2006 he become head chef at ORO CAFFE in Liberty Village. |
