two part series based on the French cuisine of Julia Child. Learn to Master the Art of French
Cooking. Take either class or both, the choice is yours ...and you don't need Class I to take Class II.
The Julia Child's cooking class series will show you how to transform
ordinary dishes to extraordinary with "the lady of the ladle" styles and techniques. Inspired by the film Julie & Julia, The Chef Upstairs will empower you to cook
just like Julia herself.
In Class I you will learn to make these signature dishes:
- Potage parmentier (Potato leek soup)
- Escalopes de Veau a la crème (sautéed Veal Scallops with mushrooms and cream)

- 2 Simple salads ...forget the store bought dressings
- Easy pasta that's on the table in less than 30 minutes. Add grilled chicken or shrimp. Use spaghetti squash instead of pasta.
- Grilled fish ...tilapia, hake or whitefish with sauteed swiss chard

You too can learn to make a delicious and healthy dinner in 30 minutes on a weeknight. Forget about store roasted chickens that are loaded with sodium, or meals in a box. You too, can make great and exciting meals with plenty of tips from our chefs.
- Simple Ranch Dressing in less than 10 minutes ...forget the store bought dressings loaded with fat, sodium and sugar!
- Rotini with grilled vegtables and a low-fat rose sauce. Add grilled chicken, shrimp or salmon.
- Simple and delicious Stir Fry ...mix and match with all of your favourite vegtables and spices. Choose chicken, pork or beef. Serve on rice or noodles or, as is. Just 15 minutes of chopping, 15 minutes of cooking and you are finished with a delicious meal on the table.
